Maddie's first museum visit!

...and we forgot to bring the camera! :P
We took Madeleine to see the Chihuly exhibit at the de Young museum (in SF).
It was very cool, but crowded as it was the exhibit's last day.
Maddie seemed to enjoy both the bright colors of all the glass AND looking at all the people! (She took a 3 hour nap when we got home!)

Baby Bath Time!

Maddie now LOVES her bath time. The only problem is when she gets OUT! :P

1st Swim Lesson!

Now that Madeleine is 6 months, we could sign her up for swim "lessons" at our neighborhood pool. (Oddly, the age range is 6 months to 5 years.) Needless to say, Maddie is the youngest in her class... by at least 3 years! :P
However, Madeleine took her lesson very seriously. I thought the water was a bit on the cool side, but she seemed fine; Maddie lasted the whole 30 minutes!! What a big girl! Here she is at the end of the lesson ~ floating with Daddy. =)



And thoroughly enjoying nap time afterwards! ;>

Madeleine returns to Tahoe! =)

Maddie loves her Aunt Wendy & Tahoe so much we just had to go back for more of both! ;>

Madeleine is getting much better at "walking" ~ this developed b/c she LOVES to stand, and has recently been trying to move toward objects which catch her eye (in order to put them in her mouth!). Here's a video of her 'walking' with Wendy.


Aunt Wendy knows what Madeleine likes! Wendy found this bunny (Maddie LOVES chewing on its wire ears) AND she makes it sing & dance, which of course makes the bunny all the more irresistible! :P

Strolling along the Tahoe shore




The Tahoe sand has tons of Fool's Gold in it, which makes it really sparkly and pretty, but it doesn't really show in the pictures...

Madeleine loved looking at something down there ~ the water, the waves, the sparkly sand, ???



We even got to see a beautiful bride (& groom)! =)


After our stroll along the shore, we decided to get chinese from The Best Chinese Food Ever Place...
Clearly, Madeleine was hungry, too! :P



and quite pleased with herself & Wendy's hand!

While we didn't actually go on the water, it was fun to SIT on Wendy's sailboat! ;>



While Maddie napped and Wendy & I gamed, Sharkey got the Rose Jr. award by washing the car!





Thank you, Wendy, for a(nother!) FABULOUS visit! I'm sure Madeleine will convince us to come again soon! ;>
